Group Captain Shubhanshu Shukla, set to become the second Indian to go to space after Wing Commander Rakesh Sharma's journey on board the Soyuz T-11 in April 1984, will take on the role of pilot on the Axiom Mission 4, or Ax-4. The Ax-4 will go to the International Space Station (ISS) from the National Aeronautics and Space Administration's (NASA) Kennedy Space Centre in Florida no earlier than spring 2025, Axiom told reporters on Thursday. Group Captain Shukla, who is serving in the Indian Air Force (IAF), has also been chosen as an astronaut for India's Gaganyaan Mission by the Indian Space Research Organisation (ISRO). It was ISRO that sent him to NASA for the Ax-4 mission to the ISS. The railways is running 360 trains, including 190 special trains, for millions of devotees expected to visit the Maha Kumbh Mela on 'Mauni Amavasya', Satish Kumar, Chairman and CEO of the Railway Board, said on Tuesday. The 'Amrit Snan' on 'Mauni Amavasya' on Wednesday is expected to draw around 10 crore pilgrims to the Maha Kumbh. Talking to reporters here, Kumar said that the railways has taken extensive measures to accommodate the unprecedented influx of pilgrims and decided to significantly increase train services for 'Mauni Amavasya', the most auspicious day of the Maha Kumbh. Upset over his business partner's "betrayal", a 70-year-old man picked up his two children from their school, took them to his home, allegedly killed them there and hanged their bodies, according to police. The incident happened in Boranada here and the children's bodies were found on Sunday, two day after they were reported missing by their family. Police said they have found a note at the scene, in which the accused has purportedly admitted to killing the children due to the "betrayal" in their partnership in a bangle factory, and also mentioned his intent to commit suicide.
