Prime Minister Narendra Modi’s visit to Bangladesh on Saturday is being viewed as an extension of the BJP’s campaign for the West Bengal assembly elections on a day when the state faced the first of polls. On at least three previous occasions Modi’s actions on polling day or just a day before that have triggered a controversy.
